It's mainly what I've heard in python-dev. Things like:

* The software they use to run it used to be open source,
  but isn't any more -- not a direct disadvantage, but
  it doesn't give one a good feeling.

* There is apparently no way of getting a dump of the
  info in their bug tracker to make a backup of it,
  so if anything happens to SF you've lost all your
  bug data.

* CVS access can be slow and unreliable at times.

I'm probably over-reacting -- the Python folks are still trusting it
with Python itself, so far at least, so it can't be all that bad.  But
there are other considerations as well, such as the fact that Pyrex
development is currently being done on a PowerMac 7220 running System
8.6 with dial-up internet access that is not always available and
uncertain prospects about even being able to do CVS at all.

I may consider using SF or a similar site as an extra form of backup
one day, but as long as there's essentially only me working on Pyrex I
don't see any advantage in making it the centre of activity at this
stage.
