[Pyrex] compiler requires explicit cast?

i got it working:

    ctypedef void *PVOID
    ctypedef PVOID HANDLE
    ctypedef HANDLE HICON
    #ctypedef HANDLE HINSTANCE # doesn't work!
    ctypedef long HINSTANCE # does work!
    ctypedef HINSTANCE HMODULE



argh... why didn't i simply experiment a bit with different types sooner
instead of desperately looking for the correct HINSTANCE definition in the
windows sdk. :)
