[Tr.h.] Sign the The 2001 Trondheim Declaration!

Dear friend!

In the year 2002, 10 years have passed since the top leaders of the world
gathered in Rio de Janeiro to discuss the future of the Earth. The
Brundtland Commission and the expression Sustainable Development were put
on the world agenda and environmental issues were focused. In the 9 years
since this event, the amount of challenges has increased drastically, and
there is numerous of challenges to address when the world leaders gather
again for the World Summit 2002.

Students from all over the world, gathered in Trondheim for the
International Student Festival in Trondheim 2001 (http://www.isfit.org),
have made a declaration stating that students and the Education Community
are fundamental for achieving sustainable development. Therefore they urge
the leaders of the world, when they gather for the World Summit 2002 in
Johannesburg, to instate the Education Community as a 10th Major Group in
the processes concerning sustainable development. I support their claim,
