[PP-main] pp servers and network

another important (implementation) detail for pp:

the general feeling i get from all the posts is that the client
should poll the server(s) for the information they want.

i would like to see a distributed set of servers, with at least 1
per continent. (and more where required). i think this would do away
with fears of an "all powerful" central server.

once an affiliate posts new content to their local pp server for
inclusion, should the server be polled by the other servers on a set
time limit? i would think that the local server would have a list of all
the other servers and "put" a copy of the content on all of them.
